Research On The Analysis Of The Channel Reconstruction Project Of A Certain Port In Northern China

With the development of shipping economy and upsizing of ship, contradictions are increasingly prominent, such as part of original channels’not satisfying the requirement of navigation safety and the development of port economy, the small scale of the entrance channel, and the shortage of berth shoreline in deep water. The entrance channel has been bottleneck limiting the development of shipping. So it is urgent to alter and expand original channels.This paper researches on the theoretical basis of scheme evaluation and selection of channel alteration and expansion project. Then the analysis method of channel alteration and expansion project is discussed and a model for scheme evaluation and selection of channel alteration and expansion project is formulated based on analytical hierarchy process(AHP). Finally, for the channel alteration project in a northern port, the alteration scheme is studied and the model for scheme evaluation and selection of channel alteration and expansion project is applied to obtain the recommended scheme.
