Times New Roman.Accompanying with the development of the project construction, crane has been utilized more and more in different construction field, because the especial advantage of girder structure is equipped in shoulder beam system of the crane machine. To meet bigger and bigger lifter’s loading requirements, the girder structure becomes more complicated. For the wide application of the girder structure, the loading features and stability of the girder structure have gained more attention.Based on finite element software ANS YS as main tooling, in this article, the finite element of girders has been calculated in different working conditions. Simplified modeling method is posed here to figure out the girder stability, with detailed modeling methods compare in different working status. The stress in actual working status has been examined, to testify the calculation accuracy of finite element, with analysis of the stress distribution rules, to supply reference in detection position of welding. Meanwhile, it summarizes crane welding test measures and application scope, with certain guidance significance in welding test measures.Firstly, to combine with crane design specification, the girder structure of600T crawler crane has been calculated manually and calibrated.Secondly, to testify the accuracy of the manual calculation, finite element software is used for calculation in different working conditions, to compare with that manual result. The girder structure stability is examined also in various working status.Then, to sum up current examination measure of the welding gap on the crane, to summarize the advantages and disadvantages in various measures, according to the project practice, the application scope of the welding gap test measure is summarized.Finally, the on-site test is carried on the researched object. In different working conditions, to test the crane, the strain value in different section of the crane is obtained by the strain gage. After getting all the strain value in various test position, to compare with result by finite element, it is proved that the result accuracy by finite element measure. By analyzing stress distribution trends of the girder structure, the high stress position is found out, which supplies position reference to welding gap and structure examination.According to the crane design manual, this article has described the calculation about the girder structure of600T crawler crane, to supply practical example in project design. It is proved the accuracy and reasonability of finite element modeling methods and calculation data. It sums up the crane welding gap test measures and the advantages and disadvantages, which is significant in guidance of project technical personnel in choice of welding gap test methods. It summarizes the girder structure stress distribution rules by the measure of stress detection, to offer position reference in girder structure examination, with guidance meaning in practical test.
