Collaborative earthquake and failure mechanisms of CFST with energy-saving lightwall were studied in this paper based on the experimental and theoretical analysis.Thefollowing is research work:(1)2specimens of CFST frames,8specimens of CFST frames with light panels and2specimens of CFST frames with light bricks were tested as low levels of cyclic loadingexperiments. The main parameters are wall thickness, panels and frame connection, thecolumn section forms and wallboard type. Analysis of such structural system arehysteresis curves, skeleton curves, strength and stiffness degradation curves, ductilityfactor, energy dissipation capacity,evaluating the seismic performance of the structurecomprehensively.(2) Use the finite element program ABAQUS to establish Theoretical analysis modelsof CFST frames with light panels under static loads.Results of the tests verify thereliability and accuracy of the theoretical analysis model.(3) Get the main parameters that affect the P-Δ curves of structures and the law ofeffect from the numerical analysis of theoretical calculations on CFST frames with lightpanels under static load.The theoretical calculations is divided into two groups:embedded wall and plug-in wall.we chose wall thickness, the type of wall materials,wall connection size, node type and the aspect ratio of the frames as parameters in eachgroup.(4) Study the law of effect door and the window holes that affect the P-Δ curves ofstructures from the theoretical analysis on CFST frames with light panels with holesunder static load.
