Based on the construction of the left branch three-tower suspension of MaanshanYangtze River Highway Bridge, first introduced the main design parameters ofsuspension、the research status of the new system at home and abroad and theory andmethods of suspension bridge.Compared the differences of static and dynamiccharacteristic of three-tower suspension bridge with two-tower suspension bridge fromthe vehicle load and static wind load, then compared the effects of the number of towerto static and dynamic characteristics of architecture;Research on the influence of keydesign parameters of multi-tower suspension bridge such as: longitudinal stiffness, structure and form of the tower section to the mechanical properties structuralsystem;By changing the supporting form of the tower and stiffening beams, comparedthe different mechanical properties of structural system with the different tower andstiffening girder support form. Then makes scheme coMParison of different stiffness ofintermediate tower’s deformation and force,by changing the composition form andsection types of the intermediate tower makes scheme coMParison of different stiffnessof intermediate tower’s deformation, internal force and stress, concludes that the leftbranch of Maanshan Yangtze River Highway Bridge should choose the selection ofsteel-concrete composite intermediate tower, then makes analysis of the tower’s totalstiffness of steel-concrete composite intermediate tower, determined the control factorof influence composite column stiffness. The study of the structure system optimizationof three-tower suspension bridge and tower beam connection right choose have certainreference value and practical significance in engineering.
