With the high speed and the heavy load gear transmission direction development, the analysis on gear temperature field is becoming more and more important. Engineering practice shows that the high speed running gear will produce instantaneous temperature and uneven temperature field, the heat produced in the deformation will seriously affect the bearing capacity and working stability, generate a lot of vibration noise, make its life shortened.The heat balance state of gear transmission system and the size of the tooth surface temperature of gear transmission performance has an important influence on gear lubrication system failure of design.The gear surface exceeded temperature is one of the main failure reasons in gear agglutination. So in order to improve the bond strength of tooth face resistance of gear, we need analyze bulk temperature field.The bulk temperature directly affects the lubricant viscosity in the meshing area and also affects the size of the friction coefficient,the oil film thickness in meshing area and the condition of lubrication. Consequentially,in order to augment the intensity of gear,it need to analyse the bulk temperature of gear.This aritical uses the gear meshing theory, such as heat transfer theory, the theoretical tribology,the finite element analysis and the method of combining the heat transfer.lt is established gear heat production model and the solving gear transmission, the mathematical model of temperature field, and gives the friction heat flow, the calculation method of convection heat transfer coefficient, utilizing MATLAB numerical computation and mapped the associated graphics. On the base of above,ANSYS numberical simulation analysis is carried out and getting the results of the distributions of gear bulk temperature. At last, analyses the gear bulk temperature in different conditions.
