The power system is an enormous and dynamic system with highly coordinated operation, with interruption in routine operation; it is difficult to avoid all kinds of fault, especially the transmission line. In this case, protection and fault diagnosis system is due to be born, for its realization of monitoring with high quality, detection of faulty componants with accuracy and quickness, as well as restoration for the entire power system after faults to operate, which could greatly enhance the continuity and reliability of power supply. Recent years, the wide-adopted micro-processor based protective relay often contains the function of condition monitoring, on the other hand the method and technology of fault diagnosis remains the hot spot in research. Intelligence fault diagnosis methods based on knowledge are the main research direction, and the applicability research is still attention-getter.This thesis focuses on combine the algorithms of fault diagnosis and the equipment in laboratory to form a simulated power system platform to testify the algorithms.This thesis takes the typical structure of real power system into account to design a simulated loop power system experiment platform with laboratory scale and lumped parameter and develop a human-machine control platfrom based on engineering configuration software and data acquision system based on intelligent electrical parameters detection module. As another part, the thesis discusses a fault diagnosis network based on Particle Swarm Optimization theory and constructs, simulates and verifies the feasibility of theory of the algorithm in simulation and modeling platform of loop power system using Matlab Mathscripts computing nodes in LabVIEW graphical programming environment. The ending parts of this thesis describe the type selection and assembly of hardware, compiling and debugging of software. The result proves that the experiment platform implement the design request and achieve availability.
