The shortage of freshwater resources is a serious problem that human faced. This problemexists in desert areas,inland areas even coastal areas. An important way of desalination isdistillation–condensation. In addition, the steam in the air is also a kind of freshwater resource,which is not subject to regional restrictions. Therefore, based on the thermoelectric cooling effect ofthermopile, the research team designed the solar air dispenser. Thermopile as the core component ofsolar air dispenser, is the main research object of this paper. In this paper, the research object is theprocess of heat transfer in the thermopile. And the mathematical model of heat transfer process ofthermopile was built by using the mechanism analysis method, then simulated the model by usingMATLAB platform. The solar air dispenser was designed based on the thermoelectric effect ofthermopile. The heat transfer process of thermopile is a single-input and single-output system,thenThe model of the system was deduced. And then the experiment about the thermopile was done, theexperimental data was recorded including current which is the input and refrigerating capacitywhich is the output. According to the knowledge of system identification, selected the appropriatereference model, and used augmented least-square method for system identification. The details areshown as follows:(1) This paper put forward a simple, specific modeling method by analyzing the working mec-hanism of the thermoelectric pile according to the interaction of the five thermoelectric effects ofsemiconductors. A mathematical model based on the mechanism analysis method was built and thenparameters of the model can be obtained by calculating dynamic performance parameters of thethermopile heat transfer process. Then the temperature variation curves of the thermopile cold endand the hot end can be obtained by computer simulation by using the MATLAB platform.Thermopile heat transfer process is seen as a single-iutput and single-output system, and then thetransfer function need to be deduced.(2) First, according to the actual working conditions of the thermopile,we should design the e-xperiment and build the laboratory bench. Perform the experiment of thermopile heat transferprocess. And then the transfer function of the system need to go Z-transform to get the differentialequation of this system. At last, using least squares method to validate the model parameters.(3) The solar air dispenser based on the thermoelectric cooling of the thermopile was introduc-ed systematically. This machine consist of condenser, reservoir, air conduit loop and control circuitmodule. Then analyse the relationship between the various parts and running processes. And then introduce the operating principle of the modules and circuit control flow chart.
