At present, different kinds of wireless network technology has been widely used into IoT’ssensing layer and network layer. However, the heterogeneity of these wireless networks hinders theIoT’s use and developmet. To realize the interconnection between heterogeneous networks is notnoly the inevitable request of the IoT application, is also an inevitable trend of future networkdevelopment.Therefore, The fusion of heterogeneous networks becomes a hot research at home andabroad.This thesis studies a fusion sheme for heterogeneous network between WSN, WLAN andWCDMA, which can be used for the smart home of IoT.(1) Considering the need of the application of smart home, this thesis firtly analyses andproposes a fusion sheme for heterogeneous network based on HWG and IMS. The idea of thissheme is that the interconnection between WSN and WLAN, WCDMA can be achieved by HWG,vertical handoff between WLAN and WCDMA can ben supported by ISM.(2) The process of HWG’s design is introduced. The hardware parts include the choosing ofcommunication modules and ARM micro processing chip used in HWG, and the design of HWG’speripheral circuit. The software parts include the building of development platform based onEmbedded Linux, the routing algorithm that supports the motion of nodes.the WSN’s nodemanagement, the network’s fusion based on Netfilter frame, and the program of the SMStransceiver, Internet access, and the display and control of touch screen. The designed HWG canrealize the visit of WSN by Internet and SMS.(3) Considering the need of handoff when multimode terminals visit WSN by WCDMA orWLAN, a Grey Prediction Dynamic Threshold Fuzzy Vertical Handoff algorithm is proposed. NS2simulation results show that compared with the fixed threshold handoff algorithm based RSS, theproprosed algorithm can reduce the handoff times and the ping-pong handoff effect.
