Full and efficient use of solar power is a major issue to solve the energy needs o fpeople on earth. Although traditional fossil fuels has made outstanding contributions tothe development of human society, but environmental pollution generated by fossilfuels is also a major problem which make people get troubled. With the progress ofscience and technology, development and utilization of new clean energy is imperativeto us.This paper is expanded around a branch of solar cells which is dye-sensitizedsolar cell research, details are as follows:1. We try to dope graphdiyne (GD) into the anode film of dye-sensitized solarcells, as the electron-conductivity of carbon materials is better than TiO2. We makegraphdiyne doped into titanium dioxide filmwith physical mixing methodandhydrothermal method; the introducing of graphdiyne will improve the electrontransfer of the anode film.2. We take advantage of a new two-dimensional carbon nanomaterials which isgraphdiyne modified byplatinum nanoparticles (PtNPs-GD), aiming at solve theproblem of the catalytic efficiency of counter-electrode in dye-sensitized solar cells isnot very high.This compound material shows good catalytic performance on the I-/I3-redox couple of electrolyte in dye-sensitized solar cells. When comparied with theconventional platinum nanoparticles (PtNPs), graphene modified by platinumnanoparticles (PtNPs-GR) and Pt foil counter electrode, our PtNPs-GD counterelectrode exhibits higher power conversion efficiency and higher open circuitphotovoltage.
