As a kind of daily necessaries, the safety and healthy of edible vegetable oil is extremely important. However, Lack of effective technical methods and instruments to identify waste cooking oil and adulterated oil, waste cooking oil and the production and sale of adulterated oil can not be effectively disabled.It is serious influencing the safety of edible oil. Hence for the safety control for edible vegetable oil and to ensure safety in food hygiene and health of people, it is essentially necessary to research and develop a convenient instrument which can identify waste cooking oil and adulteration oil professionally, rapidly and accurately. And then it is possible to develop a rapid detection portable instrument of waste cooking oil and adulteration oil, and to make scientifically the instrument for rapid detection.This article describes a new near-infrared spectrophotometer (NIRS), the instrument can be used to detect a specific spectral components of discarded oil.Based on the detection of waste oil according to the country has just introduced four effective indicators, of which the second indicators for the cholesterol content, on this basis, the main topic of the cholesterol content in the edible oil to determine the detected sample oil eligibility. Judged by experts, the content of cholesterol in the detection of oil sample is greater than0.05mg/g, can clearly observed peaks of cholesterol and cholesterol content in a linear increase with the increase of waste oil, edible oil qualified not detected or contain a very small amount of cholesterol. Therefore, we can draw the basic cholesterol testing can determine the authenticity of the sample oil to some extent, but can not determine whether it qualified oil, that excessive cholesterol in the detection of oil was identified as waste oil; cholesterol of qualified, but can not determine eligibility, further testing is required. The project was only for cholesterol testing, on the other detection methods and instruments will be gradually improved in the future learning and research.The article mainly introduced from two parts of the waste oil detection equipment design, the design of the monochrome system design and spectral receiving system, the entire system feasibility analysis, have given the design options of the design of near-infrared spectrophotometer based on AOTF.
