Textile industry is a p mainstay industry in Chinese tradition. in Chinese tradition. In recentyears, with the development of Chinese economy and energy policy adjustment, the disadvantagesof high energy consumption and employment have become increasingly prominent. Then theproduction cost increases, industry profit declines, recruitment becomes difficulty, which restrictsthe sustainable development of industry. As major textile energy consumption, electric powerconsumption of air conditioning is about20%~30%of power consumption in textile enterprise,and the cost of electric power consumption of air conditioning is even more than the wages of theworkers. Therefore energy saving of textile air conditioning is an effective way and the route wayto reduce the enterprise cost, increase profit rate, and enhance competitiveness.According to the special situation of textile factory, on the basis of the traditional inlet ofsupply air outlet and diffuser, a new inlet named composite type mixed flow inlet is developed andproduced. According to CFD theory and related research experience, the inlet model of this newinlet was established. At the same time, an isothermal free jet experiment station meeting tonational standards was built. Comparison of CFD and experiments shows that the simulationcalculation of each test point values and experimental values fit well, which means that air inletmodel can more accurately describe the air jet parameters.Based on the air inlet model, through reasonable hypothesis and simplification, mathematicalmodel is established for the application of composite flow inlet to textile workshop. At the sametime, the paper also established the model of traditional inlet to judge the application of compositetype mixed flow inlet. The results show that compared with the traditional slot inlet, compositetype mixed flow inlet can flow better and more stable for the textile workshop, workshoptemperature and humidity is more uniform, and the air outlet is more suitable for required strictdistrict in textile workshop.In order to reduce the complex flow outlet cost, the structure of composite group flow inletswas simplified to the modified mixed flow air supply inlet. Numerical model of the modified mixed flow air supply inlet was established and calculated. Comparison of composite type mixedflow inlet and modified mixed flow air supply inlet shows that: the effect of modified mixed flowair supply inlet is close to that of composite type mixed flow inlet. Low cost and good effect ofmodified mixed flow air supply inlet contribute to popularize of this new inlet.To judge the energy saving effect of this new inlet, effect parameter of air conditioning wasdefined. Then the effect parameters of traditional inlet, composite type mixed flow inlet andmodified mixed flow air supply inlet were calculated and compared. The results show thatcompared with the traditional inlet, energy-saving effect of composite type mixed flow inlet andmodified mixed flow air supply inlet were9.32%and7.26%, respectively.After the transformation of composite type mixed flow inlet and modified mixed flow airsupply inlet, the workers in textile workshop was investigated. The investigated result shows thatthis new inlet is a type of good inlet by most workers. The comparison in following experimentshows obviously improved effect of composite type mixed flow inlet and modified mixed flow airsupply inlet.
