The function of the Primary Universal Aircraft Training System of Low-Cost is to simulate training of pilot aircraft and aircraft maintenance study, reduce the risk and training costs. Visual system is a subsystem of the Primary Universal Aircraft Training System of Low-Cost, and its main function is to simulate flight status of aircraft and flying scenes for the trainees to provide realistic flight experience. Performance of visual system affects the performance of the whole system. In this paper, we complete the development and testing of the Primary Universal Aircraft Training System of Low-Cost, combining three-dimensional modeling techniques and OGRE engine on a PC with VS2005platform.In this paper, we do adequate research and carefully design the General Aircraft Flight Simulator visual system. In order to complete the system, the system is divided into two stages:modeling and rendering. The work I finish in this paper is as follows:In the modeling stage, I study the modeling techniques of general aircraft, modeling technology of terrain, the sky generation technology, particle system, and establish appropriate models for the visual system and study nodes animation technology then create animation effects for the propeller and landing gear to achieve a more realistic effect.In the rendering phase, I study large terrain rendering algorithms in-depth, compare the advantages and disadvantages of the various existing large terrain rendering algorithm, then design the dynamic large terrain rendering algorithm in aircraft simulation based on the ROAM algorithm and the existing defects and the actual needs of visual system. This algorithm greatly improves rendering efficiency using the three-stages simplifying technology.In the end, the paper gives out the architecture and processes of the simulation system, implements the system and performs experiments. The experimental results show that this system can meet the needs of the system with high performance-price ratio.
