With the expansion of power construction and the market-oriented reform of electricpower enterprises, Modern power system’s production structure and operation mode will beincreasingly complicated. Under the new situation, the traditional power grid dispatchinginformation platform is difficult to meet the demand of power grid operation monitoring inaspects such as information integration, analysis, computation and storage. In order to solvethese problems, the paper introduces cloud computing in the smart grid dispatching system,using the relevant technology of the cloud computing provide a more intelligent decisionsupport for the electric power dispatching and way of implementation.Cloud computing is the evolution of distributed computing technology, and it has manycharacteristics, such as high performance, large scale, cheap. Cloud computing is a powerfultechnology of intelligent power grid computing platform. Therefore, smart grid dispatchingsystem based on cloud computing research helps to promote cloud computing in broaderrange in the application of the smart grid.The paper introduces the basic concept, main characteristics of cloud computing, the coreof cloud computing technologies. Combined with the structure and characteristics of the smartgrid diapatching system, the paper designs a smart grid diapatching system based on cloudcomputing platform of the logical architecture; Then on the basis of research in the traditionaltasks scheduling algorithm and Genetic Algorithm, combined with the smart grid dispatchinginformation system data acquisition and processing, the paper proposes a task schedulingalgorithm based on Improved Genetic Algorithm, which is purpose to improve the distributeddata processing ability and resource configuration optimization ability of the smart gridscheduling system; Finally the paper deploys experimental platform of Hadoop withsimulation of the smart grid operation scheduling data center. By simulation examples anddata analysis on the platform, the FIFO scheduling algorithm, fair scheduling algorithm,computing power scheduling algorithm, Adaptive Genetic Algorithm with Improved GeneticAlgorithm for performance comparison, the paper verified the cloud computing taskscheduling algorithm based on IGA is a kind of task scheduling algorithm which is able toeffectively enhance the massive task of smart grid dispatching system analysis and calculationefficiency.
