Since the last century60’s, with the development of pulsed power technology, pulsedpower technology is widely used in national defense, industry, civil and other fields.Switch as the core components of pulsed power technology, the physical parameters anddischarge characteristics, directly affects the pulse output waveform, amplitude, pulsewidth and time delay characteristics. As a new type of high voltage pulse of gravel, theneed for a more consistent with its characteristics of high power pulse switch, which canmeet the technical specifications of high voltage pulse lithotripter system, which canachieve the purpose of pulse gravel. This paper mainly research on high powerswitching technology based on Application of pulse gravel.According to the principle of pulse power technology, working principle of the gasswitch is analyzed in theory, introduces the calculation method of various parameterswitch. Through theoretical analysis, simulation results, mathematical calculations andexperiments, analyzed the gap distance, the distance between electrodes,the holediameter physical parameters relationship between breakdown voltage, the switch timedelay, the breakdown delay time.Using Comsol Multiphyscis multiphysics simulation software to switch theelectromagnetic simulation, analysis of the static electric field distribution and electricswitch is triggered when the distribution between the main electrodes, observed betweenthe electric field changes, thus further understanding of the principle of the breakdownof the switch. According to the electric field distribution, optimize the trigger, the sizeof the electrode, and trigger electrode tip to the electrode distance, choose suitable forpulse gravel application main gap distance, design the suitable for the switch physicalstructure.The experimental system used to build the switch, design the trigger system of highpower switch,collection main electrode and trigger voltage between electrodes. Voltagewaveform. Analysis of the main electrode gap, triggering the hole diameter on theswitch trigger delay and time delay effect of dispersion, a preliminary analysis ofdifference between the slow and fast breakdown breakdown.In this paper, the author studies on the theory and the experimental results will be after the research and application of gravel with a high voltage pulse switch to lay agood foundation, the principle, discharge characteristics of high power gas switcheshave certain reference value for further study.
