Magnetic particle clutch is a clutch which takes advantage of magnetic powder as the media of torque transmission. As a kind of medium of clutch, magnetic powder has the non-negligible importance. It will directly affect the performance of the magnetic particle clutch in the aspects of accuracy and sensitivity, which works as a control module. Thus developed and advanced magnetic powder will surely improve the performance of magnetic particle clutch, improve the control precision of mechanical equipment, and increase the response speed of mechanical equipment. So research of magnetic powder has a very important significance. But domestic magnetic powder has many defects, such as low liquidity, weak magnetic strength and short life etc. So the study of achieving high performance magnetic particle is bound to improve the performance of magnetic particle clutch, to improve the machinery and equipment control accuracy and service life, to improve the response speed of mechanical equipment and lifetime. The powder fluidity problem, weak magnetic strength and short life problem from3aspects were solved in this paper.Firstly, improvement of the material. Through the analysis of material characteristics of the magnetic particle clutch special magnetic powder, the most suitable2class5formulations were chosen as the experimental object targets. Through the experiments, dynamic and static analysis, the special formulations for the magnetic particle clutch special magnetic powder were developed.Secondly, improvement of preparation process. According to the special requirements of magnetic powder, the process magnetic powder melting, atomizing and drying screening process was improved. The paper focus is on the atomization process and spray nozzle was redesigned, so that it can meet the high quality demand of magnetic powder.Thirdly, improvement of usage method. The magnetic particle wear during usage, the high-speed rotation of the aging, friction and domain distorted factors leading to fever and other characteristics were researched. Through the test analysis about the reason of the failure of the powder, the proper using methods to prolong the service life of the magnetic powders were proposed. |
