With the development of civil aviation industry, the load of airport has increasedsignificantly, that means we need a higher requirements on the airport trafficmanagement. Scientific and effective evaluation of the entire airport capacity is animportant part of traffic management. This article is mainly based on the needs ofairport traffic management and a large number of domestic and foreign academic works,starting from analyse the operating characteristics of the various components of theairport airside unit such as runways, taxiways, aprons. Using the traditional method ofspatial and temporal analysis to research the theoretical maximum capacity of runway.Then analyze the real data of aircraft arrival time interval of ZUUU, prove thecharacteristics of its normal distribution. On this basis, this paper build a mathematicalmodel based on the arrival flow characteristics to evaluate the actual capacity of runwaythen establish a simulation model which is based on Monte Carlo ideal to evaluate theactual capacity of runway. Then research and establish the taxiway mathematicalmodels and apron mathematical models. At last analyse the operating characteristics ofall aspects in the airport terminal service processes and based on queuing theory toestablish the mathematical models to assess the theoretical maximum capacity ofaspects such as check-in, security, baggage handling and so on.This article research the methods of the entire airport system capacity assessment.Then based on these models, this article use the object-oriented programming languageC#and integrated development platform VS2010complete the development of airportground capacity evaluation software on Windows7operating system.Finally, through the evaluate practice of ZUUU Airport, Analyse the restrictrelationship between each part of entire airport system and get the recommended valueof airport capacity. Demonstrate the accuracy of models and the feature of efficient andreliable of the software.
