Into the 21 st century, with the rapid development of national economy,people increasingly high demand for the railway, the railway safety, punctuality, fast are paid more attention. Especially in recent years, the rapid development of high-speed rail plays a very important role to improve the local economy and passenger travel speed.Under this background, due to the significance of the EMU and expensive EMU equipment, this article research on optimization EMU operating efficiency.This paper introduces the research background firstly. Then not only analyze production researching state of motor train-sets operation optimization, but also analyze the theoretical and practical status quo at home and abroad.Secondly, the article analyzes the influence factors of the high-speed railway using optimized individually, such as: train operation diagram, using plans EMU, the way of the EMU use about high-speed rail transport organization mode, EMU maintenance-related issue, EMU use rules and the compilation method EMU use plan. This article combine with the reference and research data, give some suggestions to EMU operation optimization, such as: the way of the EMU use, not fixed use mode under network conditions much better than fixed use mode and so on.Then, in the third chapter, based on the theoretical analysis before, the assumed condition is given and simplified parameters. Based on the EMU operation optimization, the author come to a conclusion that is “the EMU operating efficiency growth = relatively EMU use less number = the least amount of time between Carriage connection”, and make a mathematical model of optimization of the use of EMU.Because of the characteristic of PSO algorithm, this paper use PSO algorithm to solve model. Before the solve procedure is given, the information of PSO algorithm is introduced. With the background of high-speed passenger lines among Nanjing South railway station, Hangzhou East railway station, Shanghai Hongqiao railway station, Ningbo East railway station, according to given train schedules, combined with particle swarm algorithm with MATLAB programming, obtained more feasible result, given the relationship between a continuation in part of EMU, the same as prove the feasibility of the model and algorithm.
