Pile foundation should not only bear the deadweight which comes from superstructure and piles, but also should bear all kinds of horizontal loads such as wave loads, wind loads, earthquake action, earth pressure, the braking force of vehicle, water force and Impact force. With the rapid development of our high-rise Building, ultra High-rise Building, ocean engineering and anti-seismic engineering,anti-horizontal forces pile got more and more applications, but there is still exist many problems for the calculation and optimization design of this type of piles. Therefore, the study about the working behaviour under the combined loads of pile is of great practical significance.Based on a fully study on the research status about theoretical analysis, numerical simulation, model tests and field tests of piles under laterally loads.Mainly elaborated a simple calculation method of M mothod which could estimate the response of piles under the small horizontal displacement of top piles quickly and accurately. Based on the results of a test model of a proposed project, using the Finite Element Analysis software ANSYS to simulate the project. Through comparing and analysising the results between the simulation, experimental and an M mothod,we could determine that the model is reasonabal, and then analysis the response of pile and the traits of pile-soil.On the basis of the model which has been validated, using the same modeling and analysis methods to research the work traits of pile foundation in bilayer soils. Mainly analysis the influence of horizontal load, the free section of the pile length, axial load, the compression modulus of soil, flexural rigidity of pile and the sequence of load applyed to pile. The results can provide a reliable reference for construction and optimization design of pile.
