With the development of those technologies including intelligent hardware, sensor network and wireless communication, Internet of Things(IOT) has been widely used in the field of industrial manufacturing. Due to the various procedures, complicated management and poor capability of real-time monitoring of its producing process and also its products’ life cycle, there is a gap between the system’s information management and the real-time producing information in the motor manufacturing industry. So it is necessary to bring IOT into its manufacturing processes to have a dynamic and real-time control of them to fill that gap.This paper study the system of Internet of things in the motor manufacturing process and information management integrated application and rest style of traditional motor manufacturing networking software architecture optimization. The main contributions of this paper are as follows:(1)Based on the study of many references about the IOT for discrete manufacturing and the analysis of the demand of related enterprises, this paper has carried out a plan, that is to use sensor nodes to create a sensor network and collect the real-time producing data; and to provide a service platform to have those data analyzed, thus helping filling the gap between the system’s information management and the real-time producing information in the motor manufacturing industry and helping those enterprises to make better managing decisions.(2)Due to the traditional SOA custom service contract and its inconsistent semantics, this paper, based on the REST-style architecture, has abstracted all those related things into resources,and designed a unified interface with addressable resources and non-constraint communication.Furthermore, as to the problem of heterogeneous interface in the SOA, isolated system applications, and explosive interface growth by disunited contract semantics, this paper has also made some progress in solving them.( 3) Heterogeneous interface and sensing devices with dis-unified standard make heterogeneous data access in traditional IOT. Based on REST-style, this paper has carried outtwo solutions about sensing data access which is suitable for different sensing nodes. It has shielded the heterogeneous interface through unified REST interface by analyzing and abstracting those data, and it has also realized dynamic management of sensing nodes through the service platform.(4)This paper has provided a service platform with pluggable components and unified interface by combining the Django and Django REST Framework, thus creating a new system with high scalability and loose coupling. What’s more, it has verified the design and its viability by putting the system into practice in Shengzhou Dibei motor manufacturing company.
