As a kind of high-energy weapon, laser weapon has great power and can be used for anti-missile and anti-satellite in modern warfare. TDI-CCD device is the core device of space camera and military imaging system. The study of the effect of TDI-CCD device under laser irradiation is helpful for understanding the principle of laser weapon. The outfield experiment is expensive, time-consuming and easy to damage TDI-CCD imaging system, but the simulation of the laser jamming effects can save time, predict the result of outfield experiment, verify and improve the theory of laser jamming. Therefore, this research has important significance.Firstly, this paper introduced the laser characteristics, high power laser, the principle and structure of TDI-CCD imaging system, and made an analysis on the mechanism of laser jamming effects on infrared camera and visible camera. Secondly, a model of laser jamming effects of TDI-CCD imaging system was built, which was based on analyzing the laser signal transmission link in TDI-CCD imaging system. This model consists of the transmission of laser in atmosphere and the interaction process of laser and TDI-CCD imaging system, the TDI-CCD imaging system was divided into three modules: optical system, detector system and electrical system. Then an MFC software was developed with C++ language in the Visual Studio 2008 integrated environment, which can simulate the different jamming effects of different laser and TDI-CCD imaging system. We got different results by setting different wave length, power, location and spot size of laser. Finally, this paper summarized common methods to evaluate quality of images, and presented a method to evaluate the quality of laser jamming images on the basis of the characteristics of laser jamming images.
