Currently, with the rapid development of C hina’s economy, the state has increased investment in infrastructure, many railway and highway have been constructed. In cold regions, the practice of these rail and road proved when the groundwater is more, often occured tunnel freezing, a direct threat to the structure and operation of the tunnel traffic safety, the consequences of a serious economic losses. However, with the continuous development of China’s economic construction, transportation infrastructure, especially the demand of to improve the road network is also increasing, which makes the construction of the tunnel in cold regions has become inevitable. Traffic tunnel built in cold regions engineering, compared with the general area, technical issues are much more complex, relying on Q uerShan tunnel engineering SiC huan. In this paper, how to prevent frost damage to the tunnel QuerShan and insulation as the main research content, based on research and analysis fully, combining the characteristics of the cold free zing mechanism of highway tunnels, tunnel insulation layer in cold regions research design and other related content. The full text is divided into five parts. The first part is an introduction, including research background and significance of current research, ideas, research, and research content. The second part is an overview of the tunnel freezing, including: freezing tunnel classification, cold regions tunnels heave deformation mechanism. The third part is the main content of the cold regions tunnels designed and calculated, temperature field calculation, frost- heave force calculation tunnel, the tunnel insulation layer calculations. The fourth part is a comprehensive anti- freezing tunnel technology design measures, including: technical design measures insulation antifreeze, drain antifreeze technical design measures. The fifth part is the conclusion.
