In this paper, the structure design and displacement control of foundation pit retaining is studied by the command center of Guangzhou metro. Basing on background, significance and research status at home and abroad comparative analysis, the structure design and displacement control of foundation pit retaining has been analyzed by the command center of Guangzhou metro, for example, analysis of deformation mechanism and influence factors, the comparison of foundation pit retaining structure design and displacement of foundation pit monitoring and control,the following conclusions are drawn as:(1) the main factors of the hydrological and geological conditions, design conditions, soil pressure and the size, construction conditions and the main factors of deformation, seepage state equation for the deformation of foundation pit are also played a role on the retaining structure and that is a more complicated process;(2) Surface subsidence has an significant influence on the surrounding buildings and also has a certain rule: in deep foundation pit excavation, a larger plastic zone will been formed, at this time due to the effect of plastic flow, the soil outside of the foundation pit gradually flows to the medial to the foundation pit and at the bottom of foundation pit. The surface subsidence will be increased cause by the flow, eventually lead to the destruction of the surrounding buildings;(3) The damage forms of foundation pit have different types, but the causes of different failure modes are often the resulted by different embedded depth of foundation pit;(4) Before construction of the foundation, the general situation and the project environment of foundation pit, design principle of foundation pit retaining structure,scheme of structure design and scheme of construction should been careful calculated and verified;(5) The new technology of foundation pit monitoring such as neural network prediction, computer technology, automation technology, photography, optical sound wave, electromagnetic acoustic measurement technology and aerial remote sensingtechnique are introduced. These are not only fast and accurate for dynamic real-time monitoring of foundation pit but also can greatly reduce the manpower.
