The object of the study is the forming process of an oiling mouth box. Although the size of part is small, but the depth of the drawing is deep,it is a kind of the tensile extension piece and its shape is complex, the deformation of the component is unevenly distributed especially the two recesses of the parts that are completed in the latter forming process. The material is hard to flow in the latter forming process, that makes the region of the part easy to rupture. It is more difficult to design the mold by traditional ways, and it requires a lot of testing to debug the mold as well as a long design cycle, so its cost is high.Using the finite element method to analyze the forming process can calculate the various parameters of the forming process accurately. Then the binary file can be used to record these parameters, and they can be shown up by images after using the post-processing tools, some parameters which are difficult to get in practical experiments can also be got, such as the local stress and strain values. Besides, the finite element simulation could not only help us to develop technology programs quickly but also predict the sheet defects that may arise during the molding. The cause of defects will be found through the analysis of simulation results. The simulation results can be used to provide reference and guidance for subsequent mold design, and improve the efficiency of the mold design. The thesis is based on the analysis of the forming process of oiling mouth box by using the sheet forming software Dynaform. The results showed that there will be more defects such as wrinkles, rupture in one-step drawing process, so it is hard to achieve the desired quality requirements in the primary molding process. Therefore the thesis adopts the two steps drawing process, and offers the surface shape optimization to the parts which are easy to rip or crinkle during the forming process. In the follow-up, the blank and draw-beads will be optimized further, and ultimately makes the quality of parts up to expectations.
