Great damage caused by the strong winds occurred accidentally in the railway transportation. When the train running under the wind environment, its aerodynamics charachateristic becomes worse, with addition of the forces between wheel and rail or enven the vibration of the vehicle itself, the high-speed train would be derailed or overturned in the coupling of all adverse factors. The railway which from Lanzhou to Urumchi passing through the famous five strong wind aera along the railway line, the wind brings about serious potential endangerment to the operation safety of the high-speed train. It is necessary to research the capsize stability of the high-speed train under strong winds.Two methods were adopted to simulate the stability of the high-speed train in this thesis, ther are based on the theory of balance of static moment under the strong winds.One is used to assess the capsizing stability of the railway vehicle in Japan in the early time, it was called KUNIEDA’S method. The other one is namely YU HIBINO method, that is Detailed Equation Method on which based the KUNIEDA’S method and has made correction for many times by YU HIBINO.The paper programmed to the two methods firstly, and validation the feasibility and correctness of the programme through compared with the result of the foreign documents. The structures of the high-speed train about CRH5 and CRH2 were analysised, and then set up overturning model and suspension system model of the vehicle, mathematical modeling finally, and considering the lateral force, lift force and overturning moment because of the wind, at the same time, taking into account the influence to the overturning characteristics of the vehicle of lateral vibration acceleration of train itself and super centrifugal force. The characteristics of anti-rolling bar equipment and the lateral bump stopper were researched by the same time. Based on the two methods, the capsizing stability of the two kinds of high-speed train in and out of the wind-shelder and the tunnel by single train and encounted of two vehicle at the vehicle speed were 120 km/h, 200 km/h and 250 km/h, the wind speed were 20 m/s, 25 m/s, 30 m/s,35 m/s and 40m/s, the wind angle were 30 degree,60 degree, 70 degree, 84.5degree and 90 degree were researched in this thesis respectively, and different direction of it would influence the overturning stability seriesly. As one of the most important factors that effectting the overturning stability of train, lateral vibration acceleration was also been studied here.The paper considering the static factors which affecting the overturning features of the vehicle comprehensively, and the capsizing stability was simulation when the high-speed train in and out of the wind-shelder and the tunnel.And the results can offered a reference standard not only to evaluate the capsizing stability when the high-speed train running on the second double line of Lan-xin, but also available to the evaluation of stability for the high-speed train which running on others lines as one of reference.
