In modern times, gear in the industrial field of aviation, aerospace, medical apparatus has been widely applied. But the essence of gear transmission system is a nonlinear system, in order to cater to the modern industry requirements of gear transmission precision, low vibration and low noise, it is necessary to analyze the nonlinear dynamics.Based on the usual spur gear transmission systems, the paper is studied by building the movement model of the gear system with nonlinear suspension under time-constant meshing stiffness, the movement of the gear system with nonlinear suspension under time-varying meshing stiffing and the movement model of the gear system with fault parameter,respectively. The above model is studied by RK4 algorithm. The bifurcation, Lyapunov exponent, Lyapunov dimension, meshing curve, phase diagram and Poincaré section, dynamic load, time response and FFT spectrum diagram of each model is obtained.The detailed system dynamic properties of the each model when individual parameters changes are studied using a series of dynamics response obtained by numerical computation;Dynamic characteristics of the above three kinds of model are studied by using the two-dimensional parameter bifurcation maps when two parameter change at the same time,obtaining dynamic behavior of the double period motion, adding periodic motion and chaotic motion of the system etc when the gear operation, the concrete results are analysed as follows:(1) Bifurcation behavior of the gear system with nonlinear suspension in a single parameter or two parameter conditions about the time-constant meshing stiffness,time-varying meshing stiffness and fault parameters are studied in this paper. Dynamic phenomenon that period doubling bifurcation and inverse period doubling bifurcation, period adding bifurcation, chaotic motion, chaotic motion of the strip and continuous chaotic motion is an universal problem in the gear system were found by analysis.(2) The optimal working interval in each model of the gear system by the single parameter and two parameter bifurcation diagram is easily found. But the comparison is found that it is more necessary, more scientific and more realistic guiding significance to discuss the dynamic behavior of gear system when two parameters change at the same time.(3) Contrast dynamic characteristics of gear system about four kinds of fault parameters with the normal state, We can find that the four kinds of fault parameters have certain interference effect for the normal operation of the gear system, the conclusions can provide a theoretical basis for the fault diagnosis of gear system.
