Development and utilization of wind energy resources is presenting great challenges and opportunities to wind power generation technology. While in considering of wake effect, fluctuation of wind speed and other factors of instability conditions, the realizing of active power output maximization in wind farms and smoothing power is the key to improve the offshore wind farm grid power. Therefore, Wind farm active power optimization and smoothing technique has become a key issues to be resolved in industry and academia.The article is grouped around following several relevant theoretical knowledge, including active power control system of windfarm, optimization strategy of active power output, properties of operation and control of wind turbines, the influence of wake effect to wind farm active power output, to launch the research work.1 、 Having studied modeling and simulation of the wind farm wind speed and Variable-speed Variable-pitch wind turbine, and established a wind speed model decomposed into four independent components, named basic wind, gust and random wind and gradient wind, researched Variable-speed Variable-pitch wind turbine general model based configured file, implemented flexible configuration of speed and units model, and measured precisely output power, load, torque parameter of different types units under varied wind regime and control strategy.2、Having studied a quantitative control methods between wake effect and active output, and establishing an active output optimization model of offshore wind farm. The focus of our research are the methods for control strategies based on the existing computational resources. Based on the wind turbines grouping and control principle to lower the scale of problem solving; Based on data fitting and the method of extremum calculation to optimize solving process. Results of simulation show that the proposed strategy can make total active power output of wind farms larger than that made by the conventional maximum wind energy capture schemes of individual wind turbine generator. It can effectively increase the farm power and improve investment benefit of wind farms without increasing the investment on wind power hardware.3、Having researched the wind turbine inertial energy storage and lithium battery storage complementary smooth wind power output fluctuation. Analyzing wind farm energy storage system, based on storage characteristics of the energy storage device, establishing performance evaluation index based on cost control and lithium battery life. The simulation shows that the establishment of the energy storage system can effectively meet the goal of wind farms smooth, improve wind power grid generation greatly.
