The urban forest park not only plays an important role in the ecological functions,such as in windbreak and sand-fixation,carbon fixation and oxygen release,humidification and cooling, but also provide an important place close to nature and blend in nature. At the same time it has the functions of the leisure recreation,health care,scientific research,science education.The topic consults a large number of relevant literature and analyzes and summarizes the domestic and foreign related research systematically, based on the definition of the forest park and the urban forest park, the characteristics of the urban forest park are put forward. In the leisure space designing we analyze the environment and leisure culture two aspects, the questionnaire investigation shows that the urban residents’ leisure activities are affected by many factors, according to different groups, we should create different types and characteristics of leisure space in order to satisfy the demands of different groups of leisure.Taking Guyanling urban forest park planning and design as the example to analyze and research, we sums up the design principle, guiding ideology, plant landscape design and other content,adhering to the ecological protection as the premise,relying on the history and culture,to make it becoming an open urban forest park with recreation,leisure,entertainment and science education. After the completion of the Guyanling urban Forest Park green coverage rate reaches 95%,and not only play a very important role in water and soil conservation, but also play a good improvement effect on the overall environment at Yuanzhou district. In plant landscape design,adhere to give priority to the Green, highlight the seasonal landscape effect. On the hard landscape, the design and construction of the square, viewing platforms and other recreational space, can not only play the role of a good flow distribution, also provide people with a place for leisure, recreation and entertainment.
