The powertrain parameter matching and structure design of electric vehicle have strict requirements in the design. The matching and structure design of the powertrain parameter can greatly enhance the dynamic property (the maximum speed of the vehicle, maximum gradability, acceleration ability) and the driving range of the pure electric vehicle. The vehicle performance of the pure electric vehicles can more satisfy people requirements and improve the practicability.The research content of subject is based on SA01 that a pure electric vehicle project in new energy. The design of power system (power battery, drive motor, gear ratio and so on) and the vehicle high voltage control principle are according to the requirements of power system principle and dynamic about the electric vehicle. Power battery used 40P91S lithium polymer battery and the total energy reached 36 kWh. The rated power parameters of the drive motor is 25kW, the permanent magnet synchronous motor rated speed is 3200r/min. The transmission ratio is calculated to7.20.The vehicle model and the components of the system simulation model is built based on AVL Cruise software. And the different simulating tasks including acceleration ability, constant drive, climbing performance, cruising range and cycle run are simulated. The simulation results show that the maximum speed reaches 130km/h, the maximum gradient reaches 23%, acceleration time of 0 to 100km/h is 15s and the driving range of the pure electric vehicle reaches 235km. The vehicle performance of the pure electric vehicles meet the design requirements. The studying of the power system design of the vehicle provided theoretical basis to the initial design of electric vehicle and it has some practical significance.
