The overheated exhaust temperature of thermal power plants brings many issues. On the one hand, it can increase the use volume of desulphurization cooling water, wasting precious water resources; on the other hand, it can also increase the coal consumption, which greatly reduce the efficiency of the boiler, shorten the service life of dust removal equipment such as cloth bag and electric dust removal equipment. Energy conservation and environmental protection work has become an important work of thermal power plants, how the power plant flue gas waste heat in the effective recovery and utilization has become the key point of the work. At present, as high efficient heat transfer technology, heat pipe technology has been widely applied to power plant flue gas waste heat back into the field, and has achieved good results. Among them, on the basis of heat pipe technology developed composite phase change thermal technology in coal-fired power plant flue gas waste heat recovery has received the application.The article studied the waste heat recovery device based on complex phase technology for No.1 and No.2 boilers in 2x350MW heating units of Datang Changchun Third Thermal Power Plant. The author provides composition and control demanding on waste heat recovery according to the operating data to site plants. EDPF NT÷ control system can offer monitor, operation, automatic control and interlock protection to waste heat recovery device. The author design a PID close-cycle control to ensure that the flue gas temperature fluctuate in the allowable range and quickly return within when it out of limit. So as to recycle the waste heat at tail flue, save coal and reduce coal consumption, improve the efficiency of the units. According to efficiency analysis to one-whole-year equipment operation, it has been verified the effectiveness of the waste heat recovery device.
