The development and design of permanent magnetic DC motor cannot do without motor CAD system, the cycle of motor design can be greatly shorten by CAD technology, to reduce the calculation workload of the motor design personnel, and improve the design accuracy. The function of high degree of integration and the more complete permanent magnet DC motor CAD system has a very urgent demand by a number of domestic small and medium-sized motor manufacturers. The main purpose of this research work is the design and development of CAD system of permanent magnet DC motor, optimize the design of motor through the research and optimization algorithm.The main research work done in this paper can be divided into the following several aspects:1. The knowledge of motor design theory have been Studied and collated, a lot of literature and information have been checked, based on the calculate formula of each computing module of permanent magnetic DC motor provided by a domestic Motor Research Institute, introduced the impact of the magnet and armature lamination for the motor performance, the permanent magnet DC motor model have been set up.2. According to the requirements of domestic situation about permanent magnet DC motor CAD system, the detailed demand analysis for CAD system of permanent magnet DC motor has been carried on, the framework of the complete software system has been established. Apply of VB programming language and VB6.0 programming platform to carry out the programming of CAD system and AutoCAD secondary development on the drawing, the problem of interpolation and iterative algorithm have been solved, the completion of the CAD system own checking calculation function,motor characteristic curve drawing function,motor parts drawing function, new design calculation function and database management function. After the CAD system has completed, the CAD system has been tested, contrasted the example provided by a domestic Motor Research Institute, verify the reliability of CAD system.3. After realization of the basic functions of the system, the influence of the main variable design parameters on the performance of permanent magnetic DC motor have been analyzed and discussed, the optimization objective, the optimization design variables and constraint functions have been analyzed and researched, the regular polyhedron algorithm and particle swarm algorithm were compared and analyzed, the optimization algorithm used in the optimum design of motor have been discussed and the optimization design module has completed in the CAD system.In summary, a full permanent magnetic DC motor CAD system has been designed and developed according to this research work. This system has high integration, complete functions and friendly man-machine interface. On this basis, the optimization design study and optimization algorithm of the motor have been studied and compared, draw the related conclusion about optimization design study and optimization algorithm on the design of permanent magnet DC motor. This CAD system is applicable to design and analysis the small type of permanent magnetic DC motor for motor manufacturer and has a certain practical value.
