In recent years more and more new technologies are used in the field of ship automation because of the rapid development of electronic technology and field bus technology and engine remote system is very important in the research of ship automation in our country. It can accurately and reliably monitor the engine working process. When a fault occurs, the system will send out sound and light alarm, and provides security protection mechanism. The Network control system based on field bus has become the development direction of marine engine remote control system and has a certain significance on the improvement of automation technology of host monitoring system.This paper, based on a research project, through the analysis of the system requirements and compare bus technology at home and abroad, determines technology parameters, the standard of engine failures and uses CAN bus as the channel to exchange information during the different modules.On the basis of the feature of diesel engine and the characteristics of control signal and alarm signal acquisition,we design a CAN network which composed by control room and cabin, and the application layer protocol is based on SAE J1939 protocol. Based on the network, the system is divided into several independent modules, and according to the function of different independent modules, we design the hardware of engine control system.This paper first introduces the overall structure of the monitoring system, and then explains the function of chip pin of Infineon XC2267 M and CAN function are also explained. Finally, by using the modularization method to design the modules,such as the CAN bus communication interface circuit module,the circuit of pulse signal, analog signal and switch signal,LCD display circuit and peripheral circuitOn the basis of SAE J1939 protocol, the project makes full use of CANoe to extract and analysis the network information from CAN network. Finally, the entire project wasproved to be reliable.
