The train speed control based on FMCW radar distance measurement is one of the most popular solutions for train accurate docking. This thesis develop a distance measurement system which adopted dual processors of FPGA and DSP. The simulation of train speed control is developed on a DC motor, and the accurate speed control method is studied for the train docking. Design a train accurate docking control system based on FMCW radar.The system is divided into distance measurement system and speed control system.The developed distance measurement system consisted of three main contents:1) The system solution is completed and the feasibility is discussed; 2) Design the signal modulation, the IF signal filtering and the signal processing unit; 3)The comparison of FFT and ZOOM-FFT for the radar signal processing is investigated. Moreover, the software of distance measurement system is obtained using ZOOM-FFT algorithm to improve the measurement accuracy and the processing speed.Speed control system also consisted of three main contents:1) The system solution is completed and the feasibility is discussed; 2) Design the power driver circuit; 3)Design PWM waves and simulate the speed control.The distance measurement system test data indicate that in the laboratory the absolute deviations of the distance measurement system are less than 0.2m in 0.5-10m and less than 0.5m in 10-50m. The system test also performs at the Changsha locomotive depot, the measure results indicates the maximum deviation is 0.64m in 0.5-50m.The speed control system test data indicate that when distance in the 15-50m, the motor speed is 1.5v0; when distance in the 5-15m, the motor speed is v0; when distance in the 1-5m, the motor speed is 0.5 v0; When the distance less lm, the motor stop and the object rely on the inertia move to the target achieving the simulation of docking process.
