China is an earthquake-prone country with many seismic zones distributed in western regions. Transportation construction is of great importance with the rapid development of western China in decades and it is bound to build a lot of bridges. Many curved bridges have been built according to the western mountainous terrain features, especially the curve continuous rigid bridges, but there are few current researches on the dynamic characteristics and seismic response characteristics of this kind of bridges, on which this article is based to study seismic performance of continuous rigid bridge. The effect of pile-soil was simulated using Midas Civil finite element software to establish a numerical model based on a high pier curve rigid bridge of Yan Ru highway, and also dynamic characteristics analysis, response spectrum analysis and dynamic analysis were performed applying seismic basic theory whether taking the effect of pile-soil history analysis into account or not.In this paper seismic response analysis were studied by the response spectrum method and time history analysis combined with the characteristics of curved continuous rigid bridge. The related laws between the spectral response and dynamic processes in response and bend radius of curvature could be drawn by comparative analysis of the spectral response and dynamic processes in response based on different bend radius of curvature of the bridge. By the same seismic response analysis method a comparative analysis was researched on different incentive direction changing the incentive angle to find the most unfavorable incentive direction of the bridge. Also the single factor analysis of the curve continuous rigid bridge structure parameters was studied including the different pier height, single and double piers and different high-span ratio. The results showed that pier height had significant impact on seismic response of curve continuous rigid bridge, the curved bridge internal force value (displacement) in response changing dramatically. Selection of single and double piers had great effect on curved continuous rigid frame bridge seismic response, double piers pier had a smaller overall stiffness than one limb, also double piers can effectively reduce the frequency of the structure, the bending moment, the response of the main beam displacement and the pier at the end of stress. High-span ratio had little effect on a continuous rigid bridge seismic response for the calculation results of internal forces (displacement)did not change more than 8% so that the parameters could be not considered. In the final summarization was made of this research and what to be further studied to solve the problem was presented in this paper.
