So the application of fine management is especially important in the large scale thermal power engineering.Firstly, the reference massive literature material analysis of thermal power project management and the status of fine management, summarizes the characteristics of large thermal power projects, such as large investment, many kinds of special equipment, higher requirements, engineering complex, large-scale project, a longer cycle, more construction enterprise involved in the project, project impact is so large and so on. This paper also discussed the problems of thermal power project management, such as deviate from the goal of building, supervision is not perfect and so on. Then on the theoretical origin of fine management and the main content of a detailed description, fine management is mainly from five aspects of operation, like control, accounting, analysis, planning, comprehensive management. Followed by a combination of thermal power engineering in the management of existing problems.
