This paper describes a novel rocket motor for gas generator using pasty propellant. The pasty propellant is a non-Newtonian fluid that can be injected into the combustion chamber, where regulation of the flow rate allows a deeper regulation of the thrust than is possible in most liquid and solid rocket motors. Multiple starts are also possible. It thus retains the advantages of both liquid and solid rocket motors.This paper firstly describes the test methods of the pasty propellant testing and characterization of the rheological properties, the study does not contain the rheological of auxiliary ingredients pasty propellant properties. Study on the content of investigated solids, solvents and propellants paste thickener which impacted on the rheological of the pasty properties of the pasty propellant. Rheological characterization of parametric tests, provide reference for further improvement and refinement of pasty propellant formulations; Secondly, research on simulation of the flow characteristics of pasty propellant in the pipeline, Establish pasty propellant rheological constitutive equation model, and compare the pipeline flow PIV results, analyze the relationship between pasty propellant flow velocity in the pipe and tube diameter, length, and further verify the correctness of the numerical study and application; then the paper study the heat transfer analysis at the core components of the gas generator, analysis of the heated, mostly research on the transient thermal analysis of the members of the anti-tempering structure, combined with computer modeling and simulation, provide structural data and design reference value for the gas generator; finally On the basis of the existing gas generator of the following model and improving model, the gas generator can be optimized, including the supply system and the design of the main structure of the gas generator. A new supply unit using by slider-crank mechanism, is designed for solving continuous supply and implementation of pasty propellant flow regulation.
