The warship propulsion system, called as the heart of the warship, is the key system to ensure sailing ability, flexibility and security. The advantages and disadvantages of warship propulsion system performance directly affects the rapidity, the speed of adaptability, vitality, endurance, concealment and a series of indicators.In order to ensure to meet the above a series of requirements, the propulsion system must be made up of many subsystem; each subsystem can also have a number of small subsystems, some even some finer subsystem. Warship propulsion system itself is a large complicated system, so the study of warship propulsion system vitality has very important theory meaning and military value.This paper briefly introduces the research of warship propulsion system and its auxiliary safeguard system to determine the object of the warship propulsion system. First it analyses the characteristics of the warship propulsion system and establishes the mathematical model of propulsion system damage level calculation. The intensity of the propulsion system mainly reflects from the propulsion system equipment state. Importantly, when the weapon attack, in addition to their attack and lose itself function, the propulsion system devices can also affect the corresponding logical relationship equipments. So it is particularly important to embody the composition of the propulsion system.The article analyzes the typical attack (air missile, torpedoes and mines) three failure mode of warship propulsion system, including direct damage, impact damage and flooding damage, study its damage principle and mode, and obtained the criterion. Getting the distribution of the typical attack on the warship in the mathematical method and judging the warship propulsion system equipment damage. And according to the composition character of propulsion system and propulsion system damage hierarchy to determine the damage level of warship propulsion system.This paper introduces main interface and key technology of system development of the warship propulsion system damage level. Using Visual Basic to design main interface of the system, using the secondary development technology to Solidworks 3D software, establishing the corresponding model judge the damage of equipment and the cabin with Solidworks 3D software, and all the whole process can be visualized.In the process of software development, it also applies conversion technology between the database and Office files. Finally, the correctness and validity of software is verified by a warship.
