Abstract/Summary:
As the energy problem becoming increasingly prominent, the exploitation strength of marine oil and gas resources is getting stronger and stronger, thus the construction of large marine structures grows rapidly. Usually, marine structures are built on land and launched with launching barges. While transferring water, existing barge storage systems usually put only two columns of ballast tanks into use. The amount of water to transfer in each column is quite large and much time is needed. In addition, it’s difficult to find a reasonable storage plan if the tidal condition is strict. Therefore, further study of storage planning for launching barges appears very necessary. In this paper, the storage planning process is divided into longitudinal planning and lateral assigning. While storage planning, all tanks in the same column are taken as a whole, and all columns are involved. With the amount of water to transfer in each column set as an argument, and minimizing the maximum argument set as the optimization target, the optimization model is established. Improved float-encoded genetic algorithm is used to solve the model. After getting the longitudinal plan, the water to transfer in each column is assigned to each tank in the column. As to the improved genetic algorithm, generating of initial population, selection operator, crossover operator and mutation operator were improved to some extent. Besides, the constraint adjustment factor is introduced in to adjust objective function and constraint conditions while fitness evaluating.Based on the optimization model proposed in this paper and it’s solution method, a barge storage planning system is built. The effect of calculation parameters on optimization results and running time is studied. Calculation examples prove that the system has strong adaptability and is seldom limited by tide level. The storage plan meets the requirements of the constraints very well. Besides, the total water to transfer in each column is very little, which means only a little time is needed to transfer the water.
