In the past two decades, transportation infrastructure construction in seasonal frozen area has been rapid development, highway traffic is most important to the people’s production and life, has played a catalytic role for the rapid economic development.China has a vast distribution of a wide range of seasonal frozen soil area, accounting for 53.3% of total land area. Special climatic conditions in seasonal frozen area makes embankment in freeze-thaw process, always occurs in the temperature region of intense equilibrium temperature alternately positive and negative. This destructive effect the stability of the roadbed half fill a half-dug, and low cut to fill location of roadbed fill low-cut and bridge back and other special sections for more significant.Special sections of roadbed under temperature, moisture, traffic loads, freeze-thaw cycles, more prone to large deformation and other damage than ordinary roads. Seasonal frozen area of pavement performance survey found that moisture caused due to moisture migration increases, longitudinal cracks, roadbed strength decay, uneven settlement and other issues, which directly affect the road structure using the quality and reduce the road life.The project for seasonal frost area conducted a survey of disease, and mechanism analysis, combined with the roadbed stability at home and abroad, summarizes the status quo of technology research on roadbed stabilization. Through field drilling, laboratory tests, summarized the law of cause and special sections in seasonal frozen area roadbed strength degradation, And through large-scale finite element software to simulate proposed the idea of a special section of roadbed, combined with domestic and international research and engineering practice, research and analysis of the stability of the special sections of the technical measures and proposed key construction technology, recommend the use of geogrid reinforcement, for filling, compaction and other technical measures, and built a solid project for validation. The project has an important reference for the design and construction of seasonal frozen area of special sections.
