With the grid load gap increasing between peak and valley, “peak load shifting” control has been proposed. Ice storage air-conditioning system can give full play to “peak load shifting” feature. Therefore, it becomes a method of reducing the operating cost in air conditioning system. For ice storage air-conditioning system, there are many related research has focused on matching ice storage air-conditioning systems, operating strategy and economic analysis. If the wrong operating strategies are adopted, the cost of operating may not be able to save. Unless using appropriate strategies in the ice storage air-conditioning system, saving operating cost can be achieved. The main content of this paper is to simulate different strategies of ice storage air-conditioning system. Then we can get the total energy consumption, and get the system operating costs. Finally, the optimal operating strategy can be found by analyzing the result of comparing different operating strategies.Ice storage air conditioning system energy consumption is affected by the total load of the building, while the total load of the building is affected by outdoor meteorological parameters. Therefore, it’s necessary to get hourly load of the building in order to solve the total energy consumption of ice storage air-conditioning system. In this paper, annual hourly building load can be solved by using De ST energy simulation software, and the total energy consumption can be obtained through using TRNSYS software.According to the method, this paper describes the study of operating strategy optimization which is about a building’s ice storage air conditioning system. the optimal operating strategy can be found by conducting economic analysis through comparing the total energy consumption and the total operating cost in different operating strategies.
