At present, mainly through the introduction and absorption of advanced technology abroad, the full localization of high-speed train has been achieved finally, which is of our own intellectual property rights. However, the high-speed train traction drive system design theory is not very clear, and deep research is urgently needed to be strengthened in this area. The paper research EMU traction drive system of design methodology in this context.In this paper, the design method of traction-drive parameters was studied in detail. Based on the analysis of the EMU research status of the traction-drive system, the paper summarized various types of EMU traction-drive system features, calculated each power unit of the traction-drive system with matching method, analyzed the traction-drive parametric design method, and theoretical foundation was given. The theoretical foundation Includes:analyzed and calculated the rated voltage and current of traction inverter and pulse rectifier; from the aspect of meeting active stationary indices of AC side of the rectifier and the predetermined value of equivalent disturbing current, analyzed the value of traction transformer leakage inductance; in the design of traction converter DC link parameters, analyzed the value of intermediate support capacitor and inductance and capacitance of the secondary resonant circuit. The paper used known EMU parameters to verify the correctness of the theoretical design method. According to the the above theory, the paper designed a standard EMU traction unit parameters.In order to checking EMU traction-drive system design parameters of Chinese standard. combined with multiplexed phase shifting technology to increase system capacity and reduce harmonic currents of network side, the paper analyzed the control strategy of traction-drive inverter and pulse rectifier, and the transient direct current control strategy was used to the pulse rectifier. Magnetic field oriented vector control strategy was used to the traction inverter, and multiple modulation strategies were used to ensure the normal operation of the motor car in all conditions. The paper simulated the design methods and checked the reasonableness of the design parameters. In addition, this paper analyzed the IGBT heat loss of power modules and used Infineon IGBT simulation software to analyze the IGBT heat loss of rectifier and inverter circuit under different voltage levels.Finally, the paper used Matlab/Simulink to build a model of EMU traction-drive system and checked the standard simulation parameters of EMU. In order to make the simulation more friendly, more intuitive, and more convenient, the paper designed a interactive interface of traction-drive system combined with the Matlab/GUI(Graphical User Interface) graphical user interface.
