Wet brake as an excellent power transmission structure and is widely used in industrial production. Due to its excellent heat recession resistance, water capacity, wet brake indispensable equip for heavy vehicles, machinery and equipment for mine and other heavy machinery brake system. Wet brake as a key parts of automobile and machinery for equipment safety, has long been a research objects which concern to the experts and scholars both at home and abroad. The wet brake contact interface will inevitably generate a lot of heat during braking, the thermal reliability and efficiency of this heat outward transfer determines the Interfacial structure of interface the pros and cons of power transmission, and also determines the system’s reliability and service life of structures. This paper based on the enterprise science and technology research projects " CAE analysis and reliability design of G6 axle" as the carrier, with the wet brake which produced by Chongqing Dajiang Xin Da vehicle Limited company as study object. The friction interface hot swap and power transmission mechanism were studied by integrated use of finite element analysis and wet brake testing method.The task was completed the following studies:(1) This paper described the type of wet brake basic geometry structure and work principle. for wet type brake of specific condition established contact interface friction heat resistance heat model and heat-flow-solid coupled power response model, wet type brake born heat and thermal process and wet type brake of geometry structure on brake characteristics of effects was researched, and the heat exchange law between the moving friction tablets and static friction tablets was analyzed.(2) The wet brake driving under thin film lubrication of the contact interface friction model and associated boundary conditions has been established according to the specific principles, and the Tribo-Film motion and the mechanism of the brake friction simulation has been discussed more accurately. Friction torque was obtained mainly by the continued shear conventional oil film, while the adsorbed film on the side of static friction main conclusions of the bearing and lubrication.(3) A single wet brake on transient thermal analysis of boundary conditions of friction, materials properties and interfacial boundary conditions has defined by using ABAQUS finite element analysis software Explicit Dynamics modules shown in the wet brake processes are simulated, get dynamic friction and static friction lining temperature characteristics and the basic laws, discusses speed, brake pressure, influence of material parameters on friction pairs of temperature rise.(4) According to QC/T239-1997 vehicle brake performance requirements and QC/T479-1999 test method of vehicle brake, done bench test with wet brake, got test dates about aspects of braking efficiency, friction plate temperature, brake oil temperature and breaking strength. Analysis of test data show that the test results match the simulation results very well.
