In recent years, with the rapid development of social economy in our country, urban traffic demand has been becoming increased and traffic problems have become increasingly prominent. Mountain city because of its typical characteristics of having more bridges and tunnels, more bottlenecks, more narrowly roads, more sharp turns, more steep longitudinal slopes and so on, the road traffic is more prone to congestion. At present, the priority to develop public transport has become an effective way to ease the urban traffic congestion problem. As the main component of public transportation in Mountain city, conventional public tansport plays an important role in improving traffic congestion. Therefore, under the premise of the limited road and conventional bus resources, carrying out the research on optimization of conventional bus scheduling of Mountain city, and making a more efficient bus schedule, has become extremely important to improve the operation efficiency of routine public transportation, enhance the competitiveness of conventional public transportation and ease traffic congestion.Firstly, the characteristics of the layout of road network, the residents’ trip, the changing and trend of public traffic demand, passenger flow distribution of conventional public transport and the management of conventional public transport were analyzed detailedly in this paper from the concept and form of the mountain city, and some problems of mountainous city conventional bus dispatching were summarized. Secondly, based on the summary of the conventional bus scheduling strategy and the basic mathematical model, the basic principle of conventional buses’ basic scheduling and Combinational scheduling were analyzed in this paper, summarized the advantages and disadvantages factors of the conventional buses’ Combinational scheduling, put forward the purpose and process of conventional buses’ Combinational scheduling optimization. Thirdly, based on the characteristics of the conventional bus in Mountain city and the analysis of the cost of public transport enterprises’ operation and the passengers’ travel time, based on comprehensive analysis of conventional bus scheduling cost, the optimization model of conventional bus Combinational scheduling in Mountain city was constructed in this paper. And the solution method of the model which was based on genetic algorithm was proposed. Finally, application of the model is applied to the optimization of the dispatching and optimization of the 108 bus route in Chongqing. And zhen worked out the optimal interval and dispatch form by using MATLAB. The result showed that the implementation of optimal Combinational scheduling, the cost of the No.108 bus line was reduced by 8.12% compared with the status of a single process scheduling.The combination of conventional bus scheduling optimization in Mountain city as the research object in this paper, the basic principles of the combination of conventional bus scheduling optimizationand were analyzed and the combination of mountain city’ conventional bus scheduling optimization model was constructed. The research results can not only make the scientific guidance for the combination of conventional bus dispatching in Mountain city, but also provide theoretical support for improving the efficiency of public transport enterprises’ operation, enhancing service of the conventional busand easing the pressure of traffic in Mountain city.
