In recent years, the rapid development of solar cell industry, from single crystal silicon solar cell thin film solar cell development to today, the most important is to reduce the cost of production, save raw materials, it has been in the aerospace and civil fields are widely used. But the application of thin film battery is not perfect, the conversion efficiency is not high, therefore improve the conversion efficiency of thin film solar cell effectively is an urgent need to study and solve the problem.In this paper, research status and development of solar cells are briefly discussed, analyzed the development process of solar cells, solar battery compared all kinds of advantages and disadvantages and the application prospect, in order to improve the conversion efficiency of the solar cell as the research object. Material of solar energy device is a semiconductor material, the properties of semiconductor materials are discussed in this paper, the basic principle of the solar cell work is analyzed, the influence of each parameter on the photoelectric properties of solar cells is discussed.This paper mainly introduces working principle simulation of solar cell simulation software AMPS-1D, and the amorphous silicon thin film solar cell design simulation software using this simulation, the photoelectric properties were discussed, given the parameters of physical model simulation experiment. Through the p, i, n layer of amorphous silicon thin film thickness, doping concentration and the effective density of States, to explore their influences on the short-circuit current, open circuit voltage, and fill factor and conversion efficiency, and has carried on the concrete analysis. The simulation process to realize the lifting of amorphous silicon thin film solar cell conversion efficiency, value and find the best parameters, simulation results will be the conversion efficiency increased by 4 percentage points, to achieve the conversion of 11.891% high efficiency, has a certain reference value for the design of industrial production.
