The vibration caused by the subway operation would inevitably have an impact on the surrounding environment, and then had an adversely effect on the work and life of the surrounding residents. This paper researched the vibration response regular of the free-field conditions and the surrounding buildings under different operating conditions by simulation of the finite element method combined with Suzhou Metro Line 2 project, then quantitative evaluation of human comfort in buildings based on the metro vibration excitation by annoyance rate model was made, and got some useful results and conclusions:1) Using finite element software PLAXIS tunnel-foundation dimensional finite element model to study the vibration response regular of the ground under different subway operating conditions. The study found that:the vibration of the ground mainly appeared on the vertical direction, with the increasing of tunnel centerline distance, the vibration on the horizontal and vertical direction decreased significantly. By analyzing the spectrum of surface vibration, the vibration frequency of the ground horizontal and vertical direction mainly laid within 10Hz, with the increasing of distance, the high-frequency attenuation appeared more obvious.2)Using finite element software PLAXIS tunnel-foundation-buildings dimensional finite element model to study the vibration response regular of surrounding buildings under different metro operating conditions. The study found that:with the increasing in the number of floors, no significant attenuation occurred on vertical vibration, while horizontal vibration was significantly strengthened with the increasing in the number of floors. By analyzing the spectrum of building floor vibration, the vibration frequency of the floor on horizontal and vertical direction was mainly low frequency and concentrated in less than 10Hz.Based on annoyance rate model, quantitative evaluation of human comfort in different functional areas of building by subway train excitation was made. The study found that:with the increasing in the number of floors, vertical annoyance rate appeared no significant change, while the horizontal direction annoyance rate tended to increase; the vibration annoyance rate of people in the surrounding environment caused by subway operating mainly appeared in restricted areas and residential areas, for these two types of regions, appropriate isolation and damping counter measures of vibration should be taken.
