This paper, based on the 1.4TSI engine, modified the circuit of the electronic control system and introduced the virtual instrument technology to design a set of diagnostic test platform which can be used for actual detection and diagnosis, testing, training and teaching for electronic control engine. Via the engine electronic control system platform, measurement and control platform and software system of the diagnostic test platform, we can acquire the signal data of the main sensors and actuators of engine, and then display the data on the software system interface in the form of data flow and waveform. The main contents of the paper are as follows:1. This thesis researched the engine electronic control system especially the 1.4 TST engine’ s. Stated in detail the structure and functions of the main sensors and actuators of the 1.4 TSI engine.2. It researched the methods of detection and diagnosis for engine electronic control system, including waveform analysis and data flow analysis. And set forth the concept of waveform analysis and studied the diagnosis mechanism of waveform analysis. After that it analyzed the waveform of different sensors and actuators. At the same time, the paper discussed the common basic data analysis methods and the analysis of the basic data.3. It designed the hardware and software of diagnostic test platform. The hardware design includes the configuration of the diagnostic test platform, the panel layout, speed generated simulation subsystem, the medication of the wiring harness and the measurement and control system. In the platform we chose the model of USB-4716 of Advantech as the DAQ card for the measurement and control system and used Delphi software to develop the virtual instrument software system, designed the login module, simulation testing module, real time testing module and standard database query module. The plateform achieved functions such as signal acquisition, processing, display and so on.4. It maked several testing experiments to ensure the diagnostic test platform can work normally, including hardware testing and software testing. Then via the virtual instrument completed data flow collection, waveform testing for several sensors and actuator of engine and analyzed the results.
