Analysis On Characteristics Of Historical Context In Landscape Design

Landscape design has the significance of research at any age,In terms of the process of city’s cultural development, the landscape, as a starting point for a city’s cultural development, not only has recorded the development of human civilization, but also has marked the history of city’s development. In recent years, with the steady growth of China’s economy, people’s living needs doesn’t merely remain at individuals and families, but gradually pays more attention to the outdoor landscape environment, resulting in making urgent requirements of enhancing their own city living environment--especially the landscape environment. In order to keep up with the pace of economic development and meet the benign needs of public utilities, the Chinese government begins to strengthen the construction of city’s landscape vigorously and speedily.However, under the influence of globalization and many other factors,and along with our country’s being in a developing state, in landscape design, there has unavoidably appeared the blind worship and reference of landscape construction in western developed countries, resulting in modelling and similarity of city’s landscape construction, which has not only lost the re-examination and learning of historical context and regional culture, but also ignored exploitation and innovation of landscape design with much more depth and breadth. Therefore, it has caused the problem that the historical elements contained in landscapeonly stop at the symbolization and representation of the surface.In view of this, through both pectination and interpretation of the relevant theoretical knowledge and the development of landscape design,and constant dissection of historical context, the study has not only proven the diversity, regionality of historical context and its value, but also applied the historical context to the landscape design by the form of deep symbols, while integrating the related knowledge of deep symbol design. In addition, while this paper has searched the manifestation form of contemporary landscape design, paid attention to the local characteristics in the design area, systematically studied and analyzed traditional design features and essence, it must also develop and break tradition in the inheritance, continually input these symbols with new blood, in order to organically combine the traditional gardening art with modern landscape design.Starting from local characteristics, traditional culture and other factors of historical context, landscape design is to fully exploit the potential of "symbol", into which we will integrate the subject of history,humanity and context, so as to express the attention of the landscape design towards society and its pursuit of beauty much more, thus enhancing the construction of city’s landscape to a new height.
