| Because of the uneven distribution of power resources, the development of extra and UHV power grid has become an inevitable trend. With the development of the long distance power transmission by extra-high voltage and the power electronics technology, reactive power requirement keeps on increasing, which makes the reactive power compensation important. Fortunately, magnetic saturated controlled reactor (MCSR) has obvious advantages in reactive power compensation. In this paper, some studies on MCSR are carried out, which mainly include operation principle, simulation model, finite element analysis method, as well as a new kind of MCSR.Firstly, structural features and operation principle of MCSR are introduced. By the analysis of the MCSR, the equations of the magnetic circuit together with electric circuit are derived, a new method of modeling complex magnetic circuit-magnetic circuit decomposition approach is proposed which can turn the complex magnetic circuit into the simple magnetic circuit.Secondly, based on MATLAB/Simulink, by using of the Five-segment magnetic path model of MCSR the, the simulation model is established, and simulated researches about volt-ampere characteristics, control characteristics along with harmonic characteristics are made in detail. In addition, the simulation model of three-phase controllable reactor is built up, by which the reactive power compensation in three-phase power supply system is simulated. By which three-phase current is simulated and analysisThirdly, a MCSR was taken as an example and the 2-D field-circuit finite element method model for the parallel MCSR was established. On the basis of above, MCSR was quantitatively calculated and the working current waveforms were got under different controlling current conditions. Subsequently, the electromagnetic characteristic curves of the MCSR, such as the controlling characteristic, the harmonic characteristic and the volt-ampere characteristic. Base on the 2-D field-circuit finite element method model, the 3-D finite element method model for the MCSR was established. Tank magnetic field is studied. Then Good agreement between the 2-D field-circuit finite element method model and MATLAB simulation results of the three core MCSR is achieved, which validates the correctness of the MATLAB simulation model.Finally, based on defect of the existing reactor, a new kind of MCSR structure is proposed which has simple structure and eliminate a large of harmonic.The 3-D finite element method model for the MCSR was established. On the basis of above, MCSR was quantitatively calculated and the working current waveforms were got under different controlling voltage conditions. |
