Vehicle Ad Hoc Network (VANET) is a special self-organizing network. It mainly contains two communication patterns:V2V, V2R, by which it can provide the multimedia information, traffic report and so on to improve the transportation entertainment, efficiency, and driving safety. Now one challenging work in VANET is to provide the multimedia services in these constraints like highly mobile, intermittent connectivity and real-time communication. Focus on these constrains there are two strategies:1) Use V2R communication, but need to set AP (Access Point) to ensure vehicles to get multimedia,2) Use V2V communication, but the vehicles need to establish the connection with other moving vehicles frequently. For the first approach, it is too expensive to setup many APs to maintain the communication efficiency. For the second approach, it is difficult to transfer the multimedia services because of the unique characteristics of the high mobility, intermittent connectivity. So now a lot of articles presented to take advantage of the parked vehicles under the assumption that the vehicles are active cooperate, which is unrealistic as many vehicles are selfish and they do not want to service other vehicles without any reward. This paper makes it a starting point, and then uses the evolutionary game theory to solve the selfish problem in the roadside parked vehicles when providing multimedia services.1) This paper applies Single Community Evolutionary Game (SCEGT) theory to the scenario that vehicles park for a long time such as the company parking lot and the residence’s roadside, so as to control the selfish behavior of parked vehicles and stimulate parked vehicles to provide more multimedia services for vehicular traffic. Because vehicles only leave at a particular time, but park for a long time, so the parked vehicles can be regard as dense, cheap and less resource AP. And the method is proved effective by the simulation.2) In this paper, the Multi Community Evolutionary Game (MCEGT) theory is used in the scenario that the mobile randomness is strong, so as to control the selfish behavior of parked vehicles and stimulate parked vehicles that park for a long time and that park and go immediately to take part in the multimedia resource’s cooperative forwarding. The vehicles can park and go at any time in the place such as bank and supermarket. In this scenario, the vehicles are divided into two group parking for a long time and acting randomly. And the method is proved effective by the simulation.
