Since China’s reform and opening up, both the development speed and level of Chinese bridge career are the first in the world. To ensure the safety of the bridge construction, construction monitoring of bridge is an indispensable work in the process of large span bridge construction. Cable force adjustment is the key content of calculation in the construction monitoring of cable-stayed bridge.In this paper, with the Tongjiangyu cable-stayed bridge as the engineering background, the construction monitoring is taken on it. Using finite element analysis software MIDAS/CIVIL, to take the simulation calculation on the process of construction monitoring of Tongjiangyu bridge. In the simulation process, in combination with using forward and reverse install method, to adjust the parameters and status of the construction stage, to make the simulation results be more accurate and guaranteed.Construction monitoring content mainly includes:the deformation, stress testing, cable force and temperature monitoring four parts. In the process of monitoring, in addition to control the measured values within the permissible value, also analyses the error of measured data, summarizing applying scope of boundary conditions for calculation cable force, and analyses the temperature control of mass concrete.Market prospects for large span bridge construction monitoring are huge, and construction monitoring technology is applied widely. This paper’s aim is to offer a idea for the calculation method, monitoring parameters, influencing factors, and structure safety control of the cable-stayed bridge construction monitoring, and to provide referential data for construction monitoring of long-span bridges.
