With flourishing of the engineering construction of our country, the crane is applied to a variety of occasions, and the structure of crane become more complicated than before. The outrigger-structure style of wheeled crane usually includes four types, such as H-type, radial-type, frog-type and X-type. Currently H-type and radial-type is widely used, and the number of outrigger is four, but the fifth outrigger can be used in some special occasion.The research about the reaction of outrigger is the key part of the crane frame design, because the outrigger plays an important role in crane performance. Now most researches focus on how the deformation of outrigger and vehicle frame affects the reaction of outrigger in the four-outrigger crane, however for the crane of the more than four outriggers, the research about how can balance the reaction of each outrigger is seldom done, the design and application of such kind of crane is lack of theory evidence.In this paper, the reaction of eight-outrigger crane is studied, and make a intensive research about how to balance the reaction of eight-outrigger. The main contents are as follows:(1)The mathematical model of the structure of vehicle is established, the reaction of each outrigger is studied. By the modifying the flexible index and reasonable judgment of program, the analytical solution of the reaction of outrigger can be realized.(2)The dynamic model is built in ADAMS, by establishing the contact between the outrigger and ground, the curve of the reaction of outrigger can be obtained during the rotation of the boom, the result of analytical algorithm and simulation is coincident.(3)The method of how to balance the reaction of outrigger is researched. In the analytical algorithm, by separating the loading, the loading which is separated is loaded in the different structure of outrigger, and by combination the analytical algorithm of the reaction of outrigger the adjustable maximum reaction of inner outrigger is obtained in the simulation, by the adjustment of the distance between inner outrigger and ground, the adjustable maximum reaction of the inner outrigger is obtained.
